a thought or two about standards

And this is what it means to have standards... you don't stay in a relationship where two people aren't right for each other. You don't invest more into a person who is not right for you. What you do is become friends and if they aren’t that good of a friend you drop them. You don't have a babies, you don't get married, you don't just continue going on in a relationship that is dead. Standards are a form of self respect if not the only form of self respect. Standards make you the person you are. It makes the people around you. We always talk about prejudice and how we're not supposed to pre judge people. But if our first interact doesn't live up to my standards then cancel that. I don't know how you are in real life I don't know if you had a bad day and on the other side of things who’s to say you’re not a killer or a back stabber. What if you just got out of jail for some miscellaneous crime all… I'm saying is standards are a necessity of life especially if you want to be happy with your life and the people around you. DON’T compromise them for anybody. It’s a way to survive. Standards are our natural way of telling weather something is a good thing or a bad thing. You should form standards from past experiences. So be confident in yourself that you have the right standards for the lifestyle you want to live… Just a thought
